The story of 'Ranbhoomi' is contemporary to whatever is happening in the country today. Neither Rupa (Shatrughan Sinha) nor Professor Chandan Singh (Jeetendra) were born 'Anti-Social'. It was the evil compulsion of the society which transformed their life from good to bad. As a poor man, Rupa's only ambition was to keep himself and his sister alive and to marry his sister Nimmo (Amita Nangia) with pomp and dignity. The henchman of Sankata Jogi (Raza Murad) who was the brother of Professor Chandan Singh and a strongman of the village tried to rape Nimmo and in this scuffle Nimmo dies. Rupa, having put the blame on Sankata Jogi of his Sister's death kills him in broad daylight at the village crossing and from that day onwards people start fearing and respecting Rupa (Shatrughan Sinha).

Professor Chandan Singh (Jeetendra), after having consigned the dead body of his brother to flames, took a vow to finish and kill Rupa. And this was the start of the vendetta between Rupa (Shatrughan Sinha)  and Chandan (Jeetendra).

In between, a village bumpkin Bhola of Jaunpur came to the city of Chandan and Rupa with five hundred rupees which his mother had given him to do some noble deed. Bhola (Rishi Kapoor) circumstantially established relationship with both and he tried to settle and pacify both. But

Whether Bhola was successful in stopping those two characters from finishing each other ?

Whether Bhola did some noble deed with these five hundred Rupees ?

Is Ranbhoomi (Battle Field) the solution to our social problems ?

Who are the people who are getting affected and killed in the vendetta ?

You will come to know the answer to all these complex and vexed problems when you see our films "Ranbhoomi" only on big screen.
